Where can I find underwear for very small toddler boy? My 2 yr old nephew has recently been potty trained and is ready for little boy underwear. The smallest size i can find is 2T and he is much smaller. He only wieghs 20lbs and wears about 12months in clothes. Does anyone know where I can find underpants to fit his small stature. Thanks. |
My son is the same way, very skinny! We have trouble finding pants that stay up on him. We bought him a 3 pack of Tigger undies that they had at walmart. It says size 2 on it but they are actually very small! They are the only ones that fit him properly. They also have a store called H&M here and they have size 1-2 there that fit well.
EDIT: Please don't buy Undies at a garage sale!!!
At Walmart they have "Training Pants" which are underwear that have some padding in them to absorb "accidents" (i do not mean pulls up). They come is 12-18 months. |
How can I get my son to pee in the potty when he has big boy underwear on or pullups? WHen we are home I let him run around naked and he will pee and poopoo everytime he needs to go, but as soon as he puts on bigboy underwear or pullups he goes in them. I cannot get through tom him that he should not pee in his big boy pants. I have tried encouraging him and asking him if he has to go and everything else, even rewarding him but he just keeps coming up to me and saying I peepeed in my big boy underwear? Any suggestions? |
I would quit using the pullups. I have 3 boys, two of which are potty trained (the other is just a baby.) I tried the pullups myself, because they market them so well in ads and on tv. I'm telling you this, they really aren't worth the money. They are nothing more then a diaper that is easier to take off. Your son knows this. He knows that it is ok (even though you say it isn't) to go in the pullup. I have learned from experience with my boys that consistency is the best thing. I would get rid of the pullups, and use underware (not the thicker ones, just regular underware) that way he feels when he has gone. You should also ask him every so often if he has to go, just to remind him. I don't see anything wrong with letting him run around with no pants on while at home and training. I did the same thing with my boys, and they were both trained in a week. The biggest thing is to stay consistent...even if you are going out you need to not put a pullup or diaper on. Just put him in underware and tell him how much of a big boy he is and keep telling him how proud you are. He'll catch on and even though you may have a few accidents, it will be all worth it in the end.
Best of luck! |
At what age were you able to get your son in big boy underwear/boxers? I tryed to put my 2 year old son into boxers but he totally flipped out on me. Why does he insist in being in diapers and even refusing to wear boxers on top? |
| I think boys tend to be more stubborn than girls. Mine was 3 before I got him potty trained. One trick I used was, it was close to Christmas and I convinced him to trade his diapers to Santa for a toy he really wanted. So his diapers were set out on Christmas Eve along with the milk and cookies for Santa. It worked like a charm. Never went back to diapers and never used pull ups, straight to underwear with no accidents. Best advice -- be patient, boys are hard headed. |
Big Boy Underwear for a Very Small Toddler? Hi everyone,
Does anyone have suggestions on where I can find "big boy" underwear for a very small toddler? My 29 month old son is still wearing 12-18 month pants (he is only about 25 pounds and is in the 3rd percentile). He is definitley ready to be potty trained, but I can't find any big boy underwear that are small enough. I've checked Babies/Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Superstore, etc. and the smallest size they seem to carry is a size 2 - which is way to big.
Thanks! |
i found size 18 months under pants here for my nephew who is almost 3 and has a tiny waist.

Big boy underwear for a three year old's birthday? Our nephew is turning 3 in a couple days and he was just potty trained and I was wondering if it would offend you if someone bought your guy big boy undies for his birthday?
We already have a big present but I was thinking of adding some along with it. What do you think? |
| yes! of course! VERY good idea! wish i'd thought of it.... |
Any tips on getting my 2 year old interested in wearing "big boy underwear"? ? He will go potty on the toilet (not fully potty trained) but insists on wearing a pull-up instead of underwear. I have tried letting him chose which underwear to wear and I even let him pick which ones we would buy at the store. He still won't wear them. Should I just stop buying the pull-ups and tell him, "when they are gone they are gone"? |
| I know you're ready for him to be fully potty trained, but maybe he isn't quite there. My son was 3 when he finally marched into the kitchen and announced, "I'm a big boy now. I'm going to wear my big boy underwear." So, I guess if you are willing to wait awhile longer and just keep encouraging without pushing he will make up his own mind soon enough. |
Why do boy underwear have slits bye the penis? i really don't know!!!!!!!!!!tell me!!!!!!and don't tell me to look it up because i did and i can't find it or to read it in a book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| it is for guys to pee |
How long before you started putting your LO in big guy underwear when you left the house? He's two years eight months and has been using the potty chair for about three weeks now, just sporadically, still having wet diapers, too. This week we're making the switch to big boy underwear during awake times.
I hate to put him in pull-ups when we go out because it feels like regressing. But I don't know how long I should give him to get used to wearing the underwear at home before we venture out. A week or more?
What did you do? |
| Try putting him in underwear one day and try to take him somewhere that it wont be embarrassing for either you or yourself if he wets himself make sure to bring a change of everything. Additionally, I would suggest that you wait until he is comfortable telling you when he has to go so that even if he has on the pull-ups they aren't wet. For more info try drspock.com |

Does anyone elese ( i mean female) wear lil boy underwear? HI. I have been wearing little boy underwear since i saw the charlies angels movie with cameron diaz in it. At first it was just something funny to do because of the movie but they are super cute especially since they really dont make underwear for girls with spiderman on them and they are way more comfortable than panties. I made a myspace group a while ago but no one that has joined actually wears them as often as i do, and its pretty hard to keep the guys out of it, and the fake profiles...Is there anyone else out there like me that was affected by this movie like me or some other way?
